For those of you who have become fans of Sam during his great but fairly short run in the show, a couple of his biggest fans are organising a farewell party for him in Eastbourne on Saturday 24 October. Sam will be there, playing with his band, who will include Simon Murphy, Jason Denton and Tara Bethan! Check out the link for further details! www.samcassidyrocks.co.uk/

I have seen Sam twice as Joseph and he was amazing. (and totally gorgeous) I couldn't take my eyes off him. Have seen him as Benjamin too. I have seen the messages about Sam doing panto, so i did a little searching and found info saying that he was going to be in Cinderella @ Anvil Theatre, Basingstoke
Thu 10th Dec 2009 - Sun 3rd Jan 2010
Does anyone know if this is true and if it is does Sam have any plans to return to Joseph ? *****
(off topic)
Just wondered if anyone could settle an argument between my friends....... how old is Sam ? I have been told anything between 18 and 28. Also when is his birthday ? Hope some one can help and thanks.

Oh i guess Moira just answered some of my questions. Wow Sam is leaving after such a short stay. I'm really sad now i was hoping to catch him as Joe again when the tour comes back to Preston in November. Would love to be able to come to his leaving party, but i live nr preston, it well over 200 miles away. Its a distance i would happily travel to see Sam, but unfortunately family life has to come first. Aww good luck for the future Sam you are going to be a big star. x

Hi Julie, and welcome to the board.
Sam's was born 19th November 1986
When someone leaves to go into Panto they dont normally return to Joseph immediately afterwards. Actors do come back in now and then for short stints, but as yet dont know what is in store for Sam for 2010.
As soon as we have confirmation of anything it will be on here.

Hi everyone!
I came upon this board whilst scouring the net for information on Sam after he came to my attention during the last week of the recent 3 week Blackpool run of Joseph. As a theatre volunteer I have seen loads of productions, but I don't think anyone has struck me as having such stage presence and what I can only describe as a kind of mesmerising quality. I saw Joseph several times during that final week and found that so long as Sam was on stage it really was impossible to look anywhere else! I was totally gutted when I discovered that he was the cover Joseph but that things would conspire so that I would be unable to see him in the part. After the final show at the theatre I watched him sign autographs and have his photo taken with whoever requested it. It was obvious the children in the Joseph choir adored him - and not too few of the mums too!!
So I was truly disappointed to learn that Sam will be leaving the show in October. Like Julie I was hoping to catch him as Joseph when the tour came back up this way to Preston in November. I've been telling anyone who will listen to me what a huge star he is going to be - and this after only seeing him as Benjamin! Anyway, I've got myself a ticket for one of the venues the tour is visiting before Sam leaves, and have booked the Wednesday matinee so that I don't miss him as Jo. A bit of travelling is involved, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. I just couldn't miss out on this one!
I'll look forward to following his career and to visiting here for more Sam and Joseph news. x

Well, what can I say?! I saw Sam as Joseph yesterday and Lynda was right - he makes such a cute Joseph. Not just that though - his whole performance was mesmerising. I think the highlight of the show for me has to be his "Close Every Door", which I don't think I have ever heard sung, or seen performed, with such emotion. So, needless to say, the long journey was more than worth it!
I don't know what it is about Sam exactly, but he just has such great stage presence. I have huge trouble taking my eyes off him! I adore him as Benjamin, I adore him as Joseph, and I adore him as Sam - such a lovely guy. I wish him every success in his future career, whatever direction it may take. He is one hugely talented young man.

I was lucky enough to see Sam perform as Joseph at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham yesterday afternoon. All I can say is wow! I too was mesmerised by his performance (not to mention those abs) from start to finish - what a very talented chap he is. I am sure that he has a great career ahead of him and look forward to seeing him in other productions in the future.
