was having a coffee before I saw the show this afternoon and Colin King walked passed, so we had a quick hello. I was too late to stage door the cast before the show but met two ladies whilst waiting to go into the stalls who have seen the show 80 times so far this year, so hello to Barbara and Carole from Leeds. They wore black t shirts with Joseph lettering in silver and multi coloured ribbon rosettes. Very eye catching clothing. Nice to see some "new" regulars.
I had middle of front row and sat next to a lady with her two young daughters Symran and Leia Wedge, who all enjoyed their first time at Joseph, I am sure it wont be their last visit. Hi girls.
Stephen should have been on today, but Henry wanted Keith to do the matinee as tonight is press night, he and James sat at the back taking notes in readiness for this evening.
Keith had to dash off straight away into a cab to do a radio interview with BBCWM, so I didnt get to meet him this time.
Trina was on as narrator, she is very good, a lovely girl.
There were about 6 young boys in the choir, makes a refreshing change from the token one or two. Maybe the reality shows have encouraged more lads to take part in drama schools.
Jeremy was on as Jacob again, that lad is amazing, I thoroughly enjoy his performances of Jacob thru the ages.
Will Tyler reminds me of Chris Barton to look at, if you squint.
Keith still has some growing to do into the role yet, as its early days, not sure if those at the back could quite hear him.
When he is being held between two guards, he elbows one in the ribs to try to get away.
The Baker keeps his scarf on underneath his hat after he has sung his "lady" bit
Everyone gave 100% to this afternoons performance, as the comments the crowds made afterwards verified . Lots of smiling faces leaving the auditorium.
Met Daniel for the first time at stage door, lovely chappie our Calypso man
Will sang the cowboy song
Keith sulks when he is the angel, and when he is reunited with his daddy he sings into his ear !!!
Had pics taken with Daniel, Stephen, Will and Scott. Jeremy and I were all ready for a photo when my camera died on me without any warnings, the battery was low. I shall catch him next week. Got a pic with Rich Craig (musician) too, who incidentaly leaves at the end of BHam. He will be missed.
Thanks to James for the time spent with me.
Henry prefers to keep his distance.
I was home by 5.30 pm
It is now 9pm, been dark for about 1 hr and is freezing cold and wet. Glad I havent had to hang about waiting for trains, as is normal when I travel further afield. Its lovely having Joseph here in my home town for 3 weeks.
Car parking in Thorpe street opposite the stage door is £1.50 for 1 hr, £2.50 for £2 hrs, £3.50 for 3 hrs, etc.,

review from Birmingham Mail:
In a week when x factor bosses came under fire for digitaly tweaking vocals, a contestant from a rival tv singing competition proved he was the real deal. There was no need to press the auto tune button when keith jack sang close every door in this Bill Kenwright touring production of the feel good ALW/TR musical based on the bible story. TV viewers voted baby faced keith runner up to Lee Mead in 2007 show Any Dream Will Do, the BBC's search for a Joseph for a west end revival. Three years on the 22 yr old has finally got his hands on the coat of many colours and wore it well. Even so, he was outshone by the sweet voiced Trina Hill as the Narrator and the rich tones of Henry Metcalfe (Jacob) who also choreographed the myriad musical styles.

Review from the Birmingham PostJoseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, at Birmingham Hippodrome. In a week when X Factor bosses came under fire for digitally tweaking vocals, a contestant from a rival TV singing competition proved he was the real deal. There was no need to press the ‘auto-tune’ button when Keith Jack sang Close Every Door in this Bill Kenwright touring production of the feel-good Andrew Lloyd Webber / Tim Rice musical, based on the Bible story. TV viewers voted baby-faced Keith runner-up to Lee Mead in the 2007 show Any Dream Will Do, the BBC’s search for a Joseph for a West End revival. Three years on, the 22-year-old finally got his hands on the coat of many colours - and he wore it well. Even so, he was outshone by the sweet-voiced Trina Hill as The Narrator and the rich tones of Henry Metcalfe (Jacob), who also choreographed the myriad musical styles. Kudos, too, to the chorus of Joseph's 11 brothers, the Elvis-inspired Pharoah and the young choirs from the Stagecoach schools in Solihull and Sutton Coldfield who remain on stage throughout. Oh, and the inflatable sheep as well! * Joseph runs at the Hippodrome until September 12 By Adrian Caffery ©2010 owned by or licensed to Trinity Mirror Midlands Limited. Saw the show again this afternoon. Felicity was narrator and she did a great job. Keith has really got into the role now and I sat their thinking to myself "by jove he has got it". Jackie Taylor was there today a big Keith Fan. Unfortunately Keith didnt come out so she didnt get to meet him. Kevin has now got short hair and a fuzz free face, he looks completely different. I like it. Hello to Sam and Tim who came to see the show as well. Spoke to Will, Richard, Daniel, Henry and Felicity. The boys dont run into the audience

We had a great time seeing two shows on Saturday - Stephen & Trina were on first & Keith & Felicity in the second show. It seems a while since we saw Stephen so it was good to see him again. We got 2nd row seats near the end which were restricted view but we could see everything & thought they were great. We got front row near the end for Keith. We weren't too sure about him at first - we don't know why (maybe it was because we were seeing someone new) but then in CED he did some very high notes & his voice was very powerful. He was funny in the 2nd half clapping & cheering Pharaoh & shaking & nodding his head in "you'd be wise to agree". It was the first time we'd seen Felicity as narrator & she was very good. All the guy's hair has got long except Will's though Kevin now looks nice in the above pic. Stephen, Oliver, Holly & Rochelle are leaving at the end of Birmingham. We had another fraught journey home We knew the trains weren't stopping at Darlington because of line works. The internet told us to get off in Durham, which is north of us, & get a replacement coach but the train lady told us to get off in York & their coach would wait for us but it didn't so we had an hour to wait for the next one & we got home at 12.30 am. We think we'll have to stop seeing shows that require a long train journey, lol !!!

returned to the Hippo just one more time yesterday. It was Stephens day to be Joseph. I enjoyed his performance, during close every door his whole body was glistening, he looked at the audience quite a bit too and really acted the songs. As you know he leaves on sunday. Had a little chat with him afterwards. Andy was MD again today. Met two of the new musicians Nick and Martyn. Got to chance to say a final goodbye to drummer Rich Craig. Had a few words with Colin in the pit. There are two new girls and 2 new guys starting next week. Also said hello to Craig the new swing as of next week. Spoke to James, Richard, Kevin and Rochelle briefly I had a supposedly restricted front row seat but the view was fine, maybe only the feet werent in view, but I can cope with that !!! Below is the lovely Jeremy who was on as brother today (Gad)

We went to see Stephen's last show as Jo on Saturday We managed to get to the theatre early so we walked past the stage door & Craig, the new swing, came out - we recognised him from Linda's photo. He said he was nervous as he was going to be on stage for the first time, as an Ishmaelite & playing the accordion. Then we talked to Will. All the cast put on a great show, we thought it was Stephen's best - he seemed to be giving it his all Lots of people stood up at the end & he got a very good reception from the audience & he well deserved it. He gave an impromptu speech & said it was his last time in the Jo job & pointed to his coat. He thanked everyone for the good reception & for going to see him & those who go back multiple times & he thanked the sound & lighting guys. Craig did well in his roles & he also "cracked the whip". Kevin looked lovely with his short hair. He said Bill K had been to see the show & told him to get his hair cut as it was too long. Keith had been in to watch Stephen from the wings. The second show with Keith & Felicity was great too. Jeremy was Jacob & was brilliant. Henry was doing a run through back stage with the new ones while the second show was on. Keith stamped on Billy's foot when he was trying to escape being sold to the Ishmaelites & he did the hand jive when the choir were doing it. Stephen was on our side a lot so we could see him lots for the last time. When Lachlan came out on the blue steps they were very shaky & he nearly fell. Chris nearly fell when he was dancing backwards in the apache dance & he & Kevin got the giggles. Craig was an Ishmaelite again & played the accordion & took the "chariot of gold" off stage. Loads of people stood up in the megamix The new contract is till 11 (or 12) December but they haven't got places for the last two weeks yet. Our train journey back home was better than last time. We were given the right info to get off in Durham. A bus soon arrived & we got to Darlington in half an hour, which was much better than waiting in York for an hour, then having over an hour's bus ride. Typically there aren't any line works this coming Saturday!!
