ON MONDAY 4TH AUGUST DIRTY DANCING THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE CELEBRATES NATIONAL WATERMELON DAY Dirty Dancing is taking inspiration from one of it's own classic lines and supporting the UK’s first ever National Watermelon Day on Monday August 4 2008. It's the moment that over a million audience members have keenly anticipated since the show opened; Frances 'Baby' Houseman awkwardly exclaiming "I carried a WATERMELON?!" Baby carried a watermelon to gain immediate access to the hottest dancing in town and now that's exactly what Dirty Dancing is asking you to do... HOW TO TAKE PART The first 20 people to carry a watermelon to the Aldwych Theatre at 10am on National Watermelon Day (Monday August 4 2008) will win a free pair of top price tickets to see the show that night. The race is on!
