Sleeping Beauty at Birmingham Hippodrome 18 Dec - 31 Jan 2010
Joe Pasquale as Muddles, Ray Quinn as The Prince, Lucy Evans as Princess Beauty, Ceri Dupree ( drag artist) as Lady Passionella
Panto launch at BHam Hippodrome was a bit of a let down.
Joe Pasquale did same old jokes, Ray Quinn only spoke on stage at the presentation about his past "fame" and never came to the meet and greet afterwards. Princess Beauty Is Lucy Evans, apparently she was in Corrie for a couple of episodes.Ceri Dupree will do 20 cossie changes.
Joe and Lucy were the only cast to come and say hello and have photos taken, sign autographs etc., Free lunch wasnt nice either, cold wraps, few hot wedges, chicken satay. yuk
I didnt book a ticket wasnt impressed at all. I will probably go if I dont have anything else during the panto season and only cos it is local.

I agree a most disappointing launch - previous years have been far better and they'll have a lot to live up to considering the past two years pantos have been a great success. Joe Pasquale & Ray Quinn or John Barrowman & Pete Gallagher?? A no brainer really!! And.....no goodie bags this year either.
