Went to see LITR yesterday at Wolverhampton, such a lovley theatre and so near to the railway station.
Wayne is on stage 99% of the time as Neil Sedaka, and narrates and sings his way thru Neil's life story. He has such a wide vocal range and can reach a falsetto.
It reminded me a little of Jersey Boys with the format and the band on the back of the stage. Huge backdrop scenes of Still photos of days gone by during the 1950/60/70's. I was well impressed with Wayne's ability, the show is a little too long for my liking and I have no idea how he can remember all the dialogue as well as the many songs. God help his understudy if Wayne is off sick.
Another member of the cast was Kieran Brown who I had never seen before, he grabbed my eye and did a great Tony Christie singing Amirillo, as well as being ensemble and Elton John !!
Once again I missed out on seeing the producer of the show - Bill Kenwright was about but I didnt see him.
There are 41 songs in the shows.
Another great cast.
Well done all.

We saw LITR in Sunderland & loved it - Roisin not quite as much as me as she didn't know many of the songs. We got front row seats & Wayne was fantastic & in the show most of the time. He has a wonderful voice, great acting ability, a good American accent, very dark hair & looked very smart in lots of different coloured jackets. He looked good sitting at a grand piano & mimed the piano playing very well. We thought all the cast were great too. A lot of the talking by the cast was done to the audience, which there weren't many of, but they cheered lots & most got up & danced at the end
