Keith Jack finally lands dream role as Joseph in UK tour

REALITY TV star Keith Jack has finally got his hands on Joseph's technicolour dream coat.
The 21-year-old Scot was a finalist in Any Dream Will Do, the BBC show to find a new star to play Joseph on the West End stage, but lost out to Lee Mead.
But now Keith, of Dalkeith, Midlothian, is about to take the lead in a UK tour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, - including a stint at Glasgow's King's Theatre.
And he says his only worry is about losing his loincloth like Lee did on stage in London.
He said: "I am going to the gym six days a week so I am pretty confident about my body but I don't think I'd live it down if my loincloth fell off, especially not in Glasgow.
"It is strange, though, to think I will finally be doing Joseph.
"I look back on Any Dream Will Do now and I don't think I was ready for it all then.
"I feel like in the two or three years that have gone by I have really grown up and am more prepared to take on a lead like Joseph now - and I know all the songs."
Keith, who worked in his local Tesco before Any Dream Will Do, has been in constant demand since his TV stint.
He has sung on John Barrowman's album and performed at a range of events, including the Edinburgh Festival and Picnic at the Parliament in 2007, as well as playing leading roles in two pantomimes.
It's all a long way from stacking shelves in Tesco. Or is it? Keith joked: "It is all just the same really. No, I am kidding. It has been great but it is still a bit strange to look back on the last three years and think about the things I've done.
"I watch clips from Any Dream Will Do now and I can't believe I looked like that or had hair like that. After the show I never thought I would get a phone call offering me Joseph.
"And the reason I think I did is because Bill Kenwright, who produces Joseph and who was on the judging panel of the show, saw me at a party recently and told me he thought I could actually be Joseph now.
"I was like, 'Thank God, I have only waited three years for that'."
Keith is hoping that his stint in Jospeh could lead to other musical roles - possibly in Les Miserables or Phantom Of The Opera.
He said: "Ideally I would love to do Phantom but I am a bit young for that still."
Keith, who now lives in London with his dancer girlfriend Alana Macfarlane, also reckons he would like to see the tables turned when it comes to reality TV shows.
He said: "It would be great to be a on a show where all the old contestants are the judges and the judges become the contestants.
"I think that would be great fun to have things turned on their head for once."
Keith will be appearing in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the King's Theatre, Glasgow, from September 14-19. For tickets log on to
