Whilst I dont like Phantom of the Opera, I must say I did enjoy LND. Set in Coney island the Phantom now runs a type of freak show, I really dont want to spoil it for those that havent seen it. But there are a number of life size or larger automatoms, half human, with a fairy tale coach and driver (think cinderella and glass coach) with a twist Kieron Brown ( ex Laughter in the Rain ) is ensemble and still very eye grabbing. Adam Pearce ( ex Baker in Joseph at the Adelphi) plays a tattooed man. David Thaxton ( ex Enjolras in Les Mis) is Raoul some of the tunes reminded me of other musicals, in particular Bali Hi from South Pacific, all that jazz from Chicago and the Frug dance in Sweet Charity. Ramin was excellent such a powerful voice, he does reminds me of Lee Mead as they both have that slight lisp. I can imagine Lee taking over the role. Traffic to and from Trafalgar square was horrendous. On both journies whilst on the bus we were told the destination was changing halfway thru , how very inconsiderate. If you can, use the tube.

Ramin has an amazing voice, I would have loved to have seen him in Phantom as well as LND. Glad you enjoyed it ;D x

Can't believe the show is being pulled off the West End stage so quickly!! I thought it was a good night's entertainment out - especially the crazy scene with the skeletons, snake-head lamps and waxworks!
