hi its linda jocoat of many colors i have been to see the new musical at the opera house manchester called MONKEE BUSINESS   this show is about four young lads who get to pose as the monkes one of the monkees is played by an exjoseph called stephen kirwan posing as micky also tom parsons posing as mike ben evans posing as davy last is oliver savile posing as peter linal haft joey finkelstein who is an evil record producer this show is a cross between austin powers meets james bond its the stoy of four innocents boys who fall prey to an evil record  producer and are tricked into impersonating one of the biggest bands in the world. As they struggle to conceal their own personalities,afrantic world tour leads to entanglements with a harem of sexy russiiian spies,an army of tower beefeaters and a railway carriage full of nuns. Totally far out and all the monkees hits that you could want and dancing a madcap mix of zany adventures i was not too sure about this show if i would like it but when the songs came and the fun bits started that when i got in to it and i sang along and joinned in dancing in my seat which was front row in the middle where the girl in the booking office put me because she had seen the show on friday nignt and she said thats where it all happens on stage the middle it was good at the end when all the cast came out in turn on to the stage everybody clapping and cheering after the show i met some of the cast at the stage door i met linal haft who signed my programme i took his picture i also met oliver savile peter had my photo took with him he waved to me from the stage and smiled at me i met ben evans davy he signed my programme also i got cassandra compton as mary gray to have her picture took with me which i took and she sign my programme last was lee honey jones as telegram boy to sign my programme i got to meet the two men that i know from liverpool who had come down to see the show this made my day i got hugs kisses  from the two men this turn out to be a great day for me one happy singing linda ;D |
