Scrooge
Went to see James Bisp in Scrooge on wednesday. Its on tour again. He has the role of Tom Jenkins so has the chance to show how versatile he is with his dancing and singing. Reminded me of that other song and dance man Richard Swerrun. James is a wonderful person as well as being extremely talented. Had a coffee and good old chin wag. Catch him in Scrooge before he leaves to go into Phantom tour next year.
Tommy Steele is on stage most of the time and does very well for someone in his 70's, although I did notice James does a lot of the dancing that Tommy used to do when he was on the tour a few years back.
James Head is still in this production as the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Andy Griffiths was on keyboards.
The special effects are all the same as they were when the show was in the west end.
When I got back to Birmingham New Street an alarm was sounding telling all passengers to EVACUATE the building, make your way to the nearest exit. I wasnt taking any chances and jumped into a taxi, cost me £20 but I wasnt going to risk being blown up.!!!! Turns out it was a fire alarm set off by yobs.
