We wanted to see different shows on Saturday so Roisin went to see Legally Blonde in Bradford & I stopped off at Leeds to see Loserville, partly because Gareth Gates was in it & partly because I like seeing new shows It was a good show, set in 1971 & was about a computer geek who discovers girls. Gareth was in a gang with two others & he was a bit of a baddie. He had a lot of speaking to do which he did well. A reference was made to him about people taking part in reality shows in the future. There was no scenery but the ensemble came on with big pieces of card with scenes painted on & they either flipped them down or turned them round to show other scenes. It was good even though it doesn't really sound like it. The cast sat on long benches which were made of big coloured "pencils" & the tables were "spiral note books" which they flipped every so often. The five man band was in a corner of the "stage" which was on the flat floor so the front row of seats was very close to the actors Gareth spent a lot of time with his fans & I had a nice chat with his wife who had watched the show with their daughter. The show has now finished & Gareth is going to be Warner in Legally Blonde from this week, taking over from Ray Quinn. Jennifer Ellison is going to be Paulette, taking over from Nikki Evans.
