I really really want to see Sound of music. But £55 is too expensive. Can see two Josephs for that. I will wait and see what deals are going around once all the fuss has died down.

I really want to go and see it. I loved watching the "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?" on tv and its one of my favourite musicals ever

have you seen the news.
Mr Vonn Trapp has pulled out of the Sound Of Music, it was in the news yesterday. That won't do Connie Fishers confidence a favour, poor girl.
Hope they find a nice replacement.

They've got their replacement - Alexander Hanson. Until he's ready to start, the understudy (Christopher Dickins) is playing the role.
What I would give to be anywhere near London at the moment. I'm not overly keen on the show, but I'd love to see Chris as Captain Von Trapp.

Sound of Music cast members at Dress Circle on Thursday 14th December. Looks like you have to buy a cd of the cast recording to get in. 12.30 - 1.30pm Shame I am not in London that day.

We've just had a great weekend seeing ex Jo people We went to see The Sound of Music which was wonderful. Simon played Rolf (he is the u/s) - he was great and it was lovely to see him again Katie is in the ensemble and she remembered us even though we haven't seen her for nearly 2 years. Off topic: Christopher Dickens played the Captain and he was very good. Then we went to see Fame. We thought H, who is blond again, was very good and it was nice to see him in a different role. He was in the show a lot and sang a few solos. We talked to Phil Cole (he was the principal) at the stage door but H was taking a long time to come out so we decided to go to Les Mis stage door. Simon Bailey and Spike were both on holiday, but we had a nice chat with Eaton James When we got back to our hotel, we watched Michael in the repeat of the Grease programme and watched Lee yesterday when we got home

On Saturday we wanted to see We Will Rock You but there was only one seat left, so at the last minute we decided to go to Sunderland to see The Sound of Music. We were surprised to find that seats were available on the end of the front row. They were restricted view but they were great seats & no big speakers in the way which there are sometimes. The show was great but they've changed it a bit since we saw it in London. The mother abbess now sings "My Favourite Things" & in the thunderstorm they sang "Lonely Goatherd". When the nuns came on at the beginning there were a lot of them & the last four looked very tall & masculine & we found out afterwards that Neil Moors was one of them. He was in the ballroom scene & at the end in the singing contest he was in the group of three that came third. Michael Praed was the captain & he, Connie & the children, who were a new group, were all very good. Neil saw us at the end but we never saw him at the stage door as it took us ages to get out. Usually the side door near the stage door is open, but it wasn't then. It was nice to meet Connie as we hadn't met her before. There were only a few people waiting but she chatted to everyone for quite a while before she went back in. We saw Michael inside the stage door but he didn't come out. One of the cast phoned Neil; he'd already gone out but he told the guy to say hi to us.
