Yup. Everyone loves Richard in the role. As they did Gavin, people were booking tickets to come and see Gavin as Joseph when he was in Joseph in 2004. We dont want celebs they are often not as good as the understudy. I did enjoy H as Joe, but adore Gavin and Richard. and no people I am not forgetting my lovely Graham Tudor either. Now I am getting off this board at once or I will be here all day. Lynda xxx

I don't mind celebs being cast as long as they can handle the role, but if things were fair (which I know they aren't) it would go to the best person regardless of whether their name is known or not. I can see why they cast H - he was poor on Friday, and in my opinion really should have called out (but then, I wouldn't have caused so much trouble if he had ) - but he was okay on Saturday and I kind of wish I'd got to see him when he was feeling 100%. Still not a patch on Richard imo though. And I'll believe you're leaving when I see it.

Hehe, I am impressed. Quick question. In the BBC interview Richard mentioned a press photo from Norwich in the paper with him in the coat surrounded by children - anyone have a copy? It would be most appreciated.

I made a last minute trip to Norwich on Saturday and was delighted to see Richard play Jo. I only saw the one show so didn't know until I got there whether it would be Richard or H. He was fantastic - his best performance I've seen ;D And especially from the front row with no orchestra pit!!! It's great for him he's got good reviews and I love the radio interview. He should definitely take over as Jo when H leaves, he'd be great

Aarggh! I can't believe I've missed a listen to an interview with Richard Meek. My sources have seriously let me down! Can anyone either direct me to it on the website QUICKLY before it is lost forever, or if anyone has a sound recording of it on their hard drive, could you PLEASE sent it to Lynda and she could email it to me, couldn't you, lovely Lynda...?! . Everlastingly grateful.
(Windsor here I come, brace yourselves people!)

Bless you, Roisin, I've found it and listened to it. What a long one! As Alison asks, if anyone has got any more press pix from Norwich, perhaps you could let Tanith have them so they can be posted on the board. Many thanks!

Don't worry guys, the BBC interview won't disappear off the face of the earth. I very much doubt they'll be taking it down any time soon, but just in case I have the audio saved as an mp3 on my harddrive (yes, you're not supposed to be able to do that, but it's amazing what a little bit of technical wizardry will do). Can't you just picture him in the Coat and his Reeboks? I giggled at that mental image.

I know I shouldnt really say it, but he is very nice just in his kilt and bare feet. How dare he be younger than my own sons.

Wonder who is wearing the Dreamcoat today, Richard, if so Windsor is in for a treat. or H.
I do feel silly in missing the show so much, but other Josephitus sufferers will know how it is.

I suspect Richard is probably on this afternoon and H tonight. Could be wrong though.
And I fully understand. *nods*
3 weeks, 4 days and counting.
