Found a great cheap (ish) place for staying in London over the weekend. Not far from a tube station & about 20 mins into London (by car I think!!). Anyway check out www.travelstay.com and click on Furnival House. It is a University that lets out rooms during June & September when students aren't studying. Prices start at just £15 (mine was only £20 for a Fri night). Very clean & very helpful there & also manned 24 hours a day (for those who get in late after a show!!!) - Check it out as I will be using it again when i in London and struggling for a bed for the night that is a reasonable price (oh and there is a Mac Donalds near by for breakfast!!!) - Christine

I booked a hotel deal at www.josephonline.co.uk by clicking Hotel Deal in the scrolly box at the top. It was one of the first things to appear. Can't wait!

We stayed at The Strand Palace Hotel. Opposite the Savoy but nowhere near expensive. Mother and Daughter on our own so wanted to stay somewhere close. Lovely hotel and not badly priced at all. Good Food. and here is the icing on the cake. Only two minutes WALK away from the Adelphi. We were able to stay behind after everyone had to get their tubes coaches etc. And managed to meet Lee Mead outside the stage door. Got a lovely photo of Lee with my daughter.

Word of warning anyone who wants a place to stay in London DON'T go to the 'St Micheals Guest House - in Kempton Town, it is a dump. I went there last week and on the day i was told that they didn't have a ground floor room (even though i was told that they did about a month ago when i booked) but their relative had a room they were willing to let me have. They quoted me one price but the room was small, cold, no TV, no kettle and as for the breakfast - got more in Macdonalds!!! On top of that they wanted more money off of me. Yes I am in the middle of complaining but they aren't that quick on replying but i will make a fuss as my health as some of you know isn't that great & this cold room made it worse Will let you know the outcome if and when i hear from them.
