Following our announcement earlier in the year, as part of The Really Useful Group’s continuing support of BBC Children in Need, we are delighted to confirm that tickets are now on sale for the special charity performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Friday 16th November, BBC Children in Need Appeal night.
Lee Mead will be at the BBC Television Centre to kick off the live show at 7pm and will then hotfoot it to the Adelphi Theatre to star in Joseph at a slightly later than usual performance time of 8pm.
The children’s choir selected by Any Dream Will Do will also make an appearance in this special performance and the show will be signed by Dr Paul Whittaker (hearing impaired patrons should contact Customer Relations on 0870 895 5505).
All box office receipts from this special performance of Joseph will be donated to BBC Children in Need, so hurry, book your tickets now to support this very worthy cause. For this performance only, the tickets are priced at £17.50 -£59.50 and are only available from SEE tickets.
Joseph’s relationship with BBC Children in Need includes a previous gala performance for the charity in July and a BBC Children in Need single released by Polydor under licence from RUG. The single includes a new recording of ‘Any Dream Will Do’ by the public’s Joseph Lee Mead and the heart-wrenching ‘Close Every Door’ by Lee and the other two finalists Keith Jack and Lewis Bradley. All net proceeds from the sale of the single will also go to BBC Children in Need.

From www.thisisdorset.netYoungsters on song for charity extravaganza Comment MORE THAN a hundred Weymouth and Dorchester students will be singing live on national television as part of the Children in Need extravaganza. Young performers from the local branches of Stagecoach Theatre Arts will join students from Bournemouth to form the regional choir for BBC South. The choir will be singing from an outside broadcast on the big night as they perform a special rendition of Any Dream Will Do, accompanied by Lee Mead and the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. advertisement Stagecoach principal Sam Fraser said: "We are so excited to have the opportunity to take part in such a special national event. "Our students were glued to the Any Dream Will Do TV show and are thrilled to be singing with Lee." Stagecoach's youngsters are already familiar with the song, having performed as the children's choir when Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat came to Weymouth. © Copyright 2001-2007 Newsquest Media Group A Gannett Company

Graham Cole from the Bill is great ;D when I was working at the Kings Theatre in Southsea, we had the WHOLE cast of The Bill there for a week as they were filming a special episode where they did a panto for charity. Was a fab week and Graham was lovely, he kept all the extras entertained! I'll dig out the cast pic that was taken and put it on here sometime xx
Children in Need looks like its going to be great this year! ;D

What a great show CiN was last night, and how great was it to see Lee perform his single! I went to bed at midnight and recorded the rest, so I got to see it this morning over breakfast. I hope Lee is getting a much deserved lie in this morning!
