Got in about 1/2 hour ago from a long day being in London.
As yet i haven't seen Lee (that will be in May) but i had a fantastic afternoon. I liked the show, didn't realize but haven't seen the London production since Philip was in the show!!
Lewis was good, at first wasn't 100% certain if he could hold the part with so much singing & so much to remember but i was wrong - well done Lewis.
Even though i still prefer the touring version of the show i thought one thing that i did like & that was the children were more involved with this show and not just sitting at the sides and singing.
It was great to meet you at long last Lynda & we must get together again one day!!
Hope everyone who i saw at the stage door got home OK, oh i had to laugh there were a few people behind me who moaned just before the show as Lee wasn't on, um wasn't there a poster front of house for a start & every site you go on there are notes saying when Lee is off - i thought they would of moaned during the show but they didn't.
Off to see Craig next Friday in Worthing so will report on that after the event.
Catch you all later,
Christine

After nearly never getting to London at all yesterday due to two cancelled trains and minutes to spare I finally managed it.
Got to the stage door of the Adelphi just as Lewis was going in. Had a quick word with him, passed on my messages off various people.
Then went for a coffee with Moira. Cafe Nero was jam packed. I then noticed Michael Quinn (ex Pharoah) was in there too but I couldnt get to him in time and was so mad at that as I so wanted to slap him and give him a big piece of mind for lies he had been spreading last year.
We then went to our seats Row B in the middle. I couldnt see any empty seats in the stalls. Roisin and Eunice were at the end of our row, and Christine 10 seats along. Camilla and Jenny were also there yesterday.
I have seen lots of Josephs over the years and was looking forward to seeing how Lewis fared. As soon as he floated down I loved him as Joe. Here was my typical male blonde totty. He sang clearly, sometimes quietly but overall I loved his performance and would happily pay to go and see him again. Some people have been comparing him to Lee Mead which I think is very unfair, they forget he is only 18 - even Lee wasnt as strong at that age as he is now. Given experience and maturity I feel Lewis will go on to great things. I would like to see him in the lead on tour, maybe when Craig leaves ?? Afterwards at the stage door he spent ages with his fans signing and posing for piccies.
During the mega mix when the muscley strong Craig Scott (Zebulun and Apache Dancer) holds the girl aloft she lost her balance and tumbled onto the floor. She seemed ok and not hurt or phased by it.
Hadnt seen the narrator before Kate Tydman (swing).
The lovely James Bisp blew me a kiss from the stage, later on he said he recognised me from before. wooo. He loves my brummie accent (mad boy)
The whole cast were magnificent and have really made the roles their own. I wasnt sure if it was Tom playing Benjamin as his hair was very short and he loooked similar but there was something not quiet the same.Perhaps someone can enlighten me on this one.
Lady next to me wasnt happy that it wasnt Lee on stage, she thought he was on and that keith Jack was narrator. I told her she would just have to go and see the show again and then go to see the tour with Keith as Narrator. She didnt relaise there were two productions running. She had come with a coach load of others and it cost her £55 in all. Which I think was a bargain. She thoroughly enjoyed the show. She had seen Billy Elliot the previous week and didnt like that due to the swearing.
Got some photos with Lewis, Stephen (Jacob) . Dean (Pharoah)Unfortunatley the two with James were awful so havent put them on. Sorry Mr Bisp but you are on my photo gallery from last time.
I had a wonderful time, but the tour is still my preferred production. xxx

I saw Lewis as Joseph yesterday and he was brilliant. He got a loud cheer for a fantastic rendition of CED. It seems incredible to think he is only 18. He will be a massive star one day. He was also kind enough to sign and pose for photos afterwards depite suffering from a sore throat. Will definitely go to see him again in May.

We had a wonderful time in London too. It was great seeing Lewis as Jo & we thought he was fantastic We liked the rainbow flake in his ice cream & the butler & baker did scissors, paper, stone to decide who would tell their dream first. Benjamin was played by Jonathan Stewart, one of the swings, as Tom was ill. We're getting to like the show more but still prefer the tour. We got our tickets for the end of row B an hour before the show started. They were restricted view & we couldn't see the choir on our side but that didn't matter. Lewis was very nice to the fans at the stage door & it was good to meet more of the cast & to see the fans that we knew. Before we went to the theatre we went to Somerset House just down the road to see the fountains that Rosemary enjoyed seeing. It is a big place & we eventually found where they were but they hadn't been turned on because of the bad weather, but we had a nice view of the river & various landmarks. Go go go Lewis
