Eunice and Roisin, no problems. I understand that Dean has holiday at the end of next month, so perhaps you could see Michael then, if funds permit obviously!! Chrissi, do you know the exact dates Michael will be playing Pharaoh? Thanks. (Tanith, sorry if this is in the wrong thread just it seemed to follow on and it saves me having to start a new one!)

We had a fab day on Saturday after a lot of deliberation about where to go. We wanted to go to Nottingham but the train we usually catch wasn't stopping at Grantham, where we catch the connection, so we would have to leave 1/2 hour earlier & wait in Grantham for an hour. If we'd stayed for 2 shows we'd have to come out while the megamix was on & we'd have to change trains & stations in Newark & walk from one end of the town to the other so we decided it would be much easier to go & see Jo in London.
The only seats together were in the UC, but they had a few singles in the DC but nothing in the stalls. We were trying to decide where to sit when a box office lady asked us to go to her as we were at the pre-ordered collection point, even though the guy serving us hadn't told us that. We said we would really like to sit in the stalls & she said that 2 cast seats had just been released in row K by the centre aisle so that was brilliant. We always clap (when we are sat together) at the start of the show when the band are playing & a grumpy guy in front turned round & said "is that really necessary?" which made us clap louder & then other people joined in. Lee was wonderful, we love the start where he comes down in the clouds from the rainbow & star. His hair has got a bit longer & he's gorgeous with all his curls. Michael was Pharaoh & he was fab too. It was nice to hear him sing King of my Heart. Brad was Dan & Stuart was Simeon.
We saw quite a few of the cast coming & going at the SD & one of them said that some were watching football on TV so we decided to scoot round to the front to see Lee but there were crowds of people there & we couldn't get close enough for a photo, then Lee went back in quickly. So we went back to the SD to try to see Michael. There was a lady there with 2 young daughters who wanted autographs & she said she was glad we were there to tell her them who was in the cast & who wasn't. They hadn't seen the show before, so we suggested that they see the tour if it goes near them. John Alastair (who used to be Reuben) was around - he is going to be Harry on the Mamma Mia international tour. Then Russel Hicken came out - he is helping back stage, in wardrobe, we think. We said he could be the baker if they were short of people!! Brad is playing the baker this week & is the apache dancer next week. We eventually saw Michael just as we were about to go. It was his last day as Pharaoh until Xmas. In the show he held 2 fingers up for "Pharaoh's number 2". We reminded him that he used to hold 3 up as they still do on the tour, so he said he would hold 3 up for the night show. It was getting quite late by now so we thought we'd better go for our train - we just had time to go to Tesco for our supply of Krispy Kreme do'nuts!!

I seen the matinee show on the 18th October. Lee, at the stage door mentioned that he wasn't feeling very well and if it wasn't for all of us going he'd have had the day off. I wasn't sure whether to review it or not but I'll just say some little points * I cannot believe how much Lee doesn't want to let people down, he's a true star and pulled out a great show even though he was obviously unwell. * The whole cast were fantastic and the audience electric. * The couple in front of me had no idea that Lee was ill, they thought he was fantastic. * The reunion was so special between Jacob and Joseph * I got emotional when he did the big "Give me my coloured coat..." I was so proud that he had got through it just for his fans!!! * Lee- please rest!!!

There would have been a lot of unhappy fans for the evening performance, but such is life. These things happen. At least they had the option to change their tickets for another performance before he leaves. Not many theatres (if any) do that.

Thats very true, whenever u buy a ticket the small print for any show says that cast may change with little or no notice.
Still at least some people managed to see him and im pretty sure that if it had been his last show he would of gone on regardless.
Glad you had a good time Chrissi

I spotted him in the audience for Hairspray the School musical, which I suppose was recorded on a sunday night.
