Hello there! I am a huge Lee fan - husband not so amused by this but he's coping. (Luckily he is a huge Joseph fan). I bought our tickets before the ADWD show ended, confident that Lee would win - no doubt my votes helped. Well, ‘Lee’ day arrived yesterday and John and I had a great time. Our two boys were packed off to play with their cousins and we took the train up to London (Megatrain booking at just £30 return for the two of us – bargain), had a spot of lunch sat in a park and then settled into our seats at the Adelphi for the performance. We were just 6 rows back from the front in the stalls. We could see Lee’s leg hair just perfectly! Not that I was looking at his legs that much…… . When Lee first descended onto the stage (yes he did float down from the ceiling) I was very emotional and actually cried (that started John off too….oops he wouldn’t want you to know that). The show was great and it had heaps of comedy in it. Lee did a really good job and put 100% into his performance. There were no hitches or mistakes as far as we could tell. It was great to see John Alistair as brother Reuben too as John has been writing a rehearsal blog on the joseph website - from reading that I had an insight into the behind the scenes stuff.
After the show Lee came to the front doors of the theatre and signed autographs – couldn’t get close enough to talk to him but took lots of photos. He’s just as gorgeous in the flesh.
I will be returning to the Adelphi as soon as I can, with my 5 year old next time as he loves the music as much as I do. Go go go Lee!
