Radio 2 presents a special Friday Night Is Music Night Gala celebrating one of the giants of musical theatre - Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Denise Van Outen hosts an evening that focuses on Andrew's latest Top Ten - a decade of his most recent productions. With music from the new shows he's written and those he's revived and produced, including: "Bombay Dreams", "Whistle Down the Wind", "The Beautiful Game", "Tell Me On A Sunday", "The Woman in White", "Evita", "The Sound of Music" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat".
For this once in a lifetime event, the BBC and the Really Useful Group are working together to present an extraordinary cast list. Among the artists expected to appear: Lee Mead from "Joseph"; Connie Fisher from the "Sound of Music"; Stephen Gately, Preeya Kalidas, Raza Jaffrey. Elena Roger, Dean Collinson, Aoife Mullholland, Lorna Want and Duncan James.
This concert was recorded at the Mermaid Theatre in London on Sunday 19 August and can be heard on Radio 2 on Friday 24 August at 1930-2115.

Lee was wonderful and in fine voice. I got a tear in my eye during Close Every Door.

Close Every Door turned me completely turned me to marshmallow. If Lee didn't have a girlfriend I'd be typing this from the floor at his feet, probably worshipping him!
